FAQ’s
When are you available for booking private parties or banquets and how large of a party can you accommodate?
The Whitebrier specializes in catering events for parties of 200 or less during the off-season, between Labor Day and Memorial Day (not including those weekends). Our inside area comfortably holds approximately 75 guests, our covered deck 40 people, and our outside patio area about 150.
I am looking to make a reservation for a party of 12 or more for dinner during the summertime on a weekend. Can I do that?
We do accept reservations for large parties during the summer however the restaurant will remain open to the public. Large party reservations will get you a designated area for your party and the ability to order from the Whitebrier food and drink menu.
What kinds of events do you normally host?
We have done medium to smaller sized weddings, wedding receptions, anniversaries, birthdays, reunions, happy hours, benefits, fundraisers, luncheons, bridal showers, etc. You name it we can host it.
What is included in the catering packages?
Food, drink, linens of your color choice, flatware and silverware, glassware, tables, chairs, and service.
What is the price range for a private event?
Please see our banquet menus for more exact pricing. We are very flexible when it comes to less formal events such as birthdays and reunions, so it is best to talk to John Tracy, the GM to see what packages are available. We require an open bar with all wedding packages but will typically run a bar tab at all other types of events.
Is there a rental fee for the building?
No, but if you wish to have your party outside in the patio area you will incur the cost of a tent, tables and chairs (if needed). These fees will be added to your quote.
How do I book a banquet?
Contact John Tracy. He is our GM and event coordinator and will help you with your menus, pricing, and all the small details that make your event just the way you want it. His email is john@thewhitebrier.com or call 609-967-5225. He is available by appointment so you may tour our facility and have all of your questions answered.
How far out do I need to book my event?
Weekends in May and September are the busiest for us so the sooner the better. We typically fill most weekends in the Fall by July and May dates by the beginning of April.
Is there a deposit required to book a date?
Yes, for parties of 75 or less it is a deposit of $250, for 75 or more it is $1000 to hold a date. We require this deposit at the time of booking.
What do I need to supply for my own event?
You are responsible for flowers, transportation, photographers, and any other sort of decoration you wish to bring. We will help you set up the decorations as long as it is reasonable and does not damage the building. You may bring your own cake and your own DJ or band, but we can help supply you with that if you desire.
What do you do in the event of inclement weather?
We hope that you will not have bad weather for your event but you can never predict how it will be, so we always rent a tent for any event held on the outside patio area. The tent is rain and fire proof. Our covered patio can withstand moderate rain, but in the event that it gets really bad we will move your party inside. Private events take priority over normal dining in the off-season.
